Dentists
Jeff O'Carroll (B.D.S. 1986).
The practice principal, Jeff has a special interest in Aesthetic Dentistry
including smile makeovers and orthodontics. He has 15 years of orthodontic
experience including a part time position in Dr John Mew’s orthodontic
practice for 3 years. He has undertaken many training courses in orthodontics
and advanced cosmetic dentistry.
- Dr Michael Mew (B.D.S. 1993, M.Orth 2004)
Michael is a specialist in Orthodontics. He has considerable experience
and knowledge of Orthodontics following his father’s research and development
in the field, especially (for the 7 – 9 year olds). This was developed
by his father. Many dentists have chosen this approach for their children

Dr
Wilhelm Grotepass (BChD, MChD 1991)
Specialist in Prosthodontics. This four year full time clinical specialization
focused on Prosthodontics, Prosthetics, Endodontics, Implantology and
Facial Pain including management of TMJD and Occlusal problems. For 13
years Wilhelm was a senior consultant at the Medical University of Southern
Africa (MEDUNSA), head of the Oral Biology Department and served a full
term as Clinical Dean. Also undertook postgraduate Prosthodontic Training
Dr Anton Boshoff (BChD 1999)
Anton has considerable experience placing approximately 130 implants annually
with different implant systems since 2000. This also includes the different
bone augmentation procedures. He owes a lot of his experience to his father’s
considerable experience which includes being an appointed trainer for
the Bicon System.
Dr Wal Van Aswegen (BChD) 1979
Wal has a special interest in Prosthodontics, Aesthetic Dentistry and
Oral Surgery. His surgical skills were honed under the mentorship of a
renouned Maxillo Facial and Oral surgeon over 18 years of weekly theatre
sessions. He has done advanced training courses in Prosthodontics, Aesthetic
dentistry and Implant restoration. He has successfully completed numerous
oral and dental rehabilitation cases..
Hygienists
Anna Ward
Anna completed The Diploma of Dental Hygiene at Liverpool Dental Hospital
in 1994 and has been a part of The Dental Group team since May 1994.
Nurses
Maria Fortes (Head nurse)
I have 30 years dental experience as a dental nurse. I qualified in 1979.
I also have Vocational Training experience and have worked with and Implantologist
as well as a Maxillo-facial surgeon in London for 2 years.
Dentistry is my passion as I love my job. My interests include beauty,
cleaning, nature parks and swimming..

National Vocational Qualification Level 3 in Oral Healthcare: Dental Nursing

Camille
National Vocational Qualification Level 3 in Oral Healthcare: Dental Nursing
July 2008.
Amber Witt
I will be qualifying as a dental nurse in June 2010. After that I have
set my sights to go on and train as a dentist. In my spare time I enjoy
socialising with friends.
Laura Davies
Currently Studying NVQ in dental nursery at Eastleigh College. I have
an NVQ 3 in Beauty therapy and hoping to qualify as a dental nurse in
2010 as a i really enjoy Dental Nursing.
My hobbies include beauty and keeping fit by going to the gym.

Fernanda Vilas Boas
I am currently at the Southampton University studying BA Spanish and Latin
American studies and have spent the last year studying in Barcelona.
I am the Administrator of the practice and my interests are reading, traveling
and i adore animals.

John Lamberio (Sales Director)
With a succesfull background in recruitment and sales I look forward to
further developing the excellent prospects of The Dental Group.
Management
Giselle O'Carroll
Giselle is proprietor of the practice. She has been involved in dentistry
for twenty years, including being a dental assistant. She qualified as
a dental nurse in 1995 at Highbury College, Portsmouth. She worked in
Harley Street, London. She has always been a keen enthusiast in cosmetic
dentistry. She has trained as a nurse in dental implants. She has attended
many cosmetic training programmes by leading cosmetic Dental Surgeons.
Giselle attended the New York University for a Dental Practice manageress
course, and completed that in 2003. Current job description includes promotion,
marketing, admin and overall management.
Angela
Angela has done a course in reception and Managing a practice. After being a receptionist for ten years, she is now doing marketing for the practice.
